"General error" with MemoQ

Since a few weeks ago, I can't do anything with MemoQ Pro. As soon as I try to open any kind of file for translation, I get a "general error" message. Even it says I can close the message windows and continue, I can'to do any translation job. Uninstalling MemoQ and reinstalling it does just nothing. At the bottom you will find the error information. I hope this will help. Thanks in advance.

Corrupt program file, needs deletion - link to Kilgray KB Oct 5, 2014

It looks like a specific corrupt file needs to be deleted.

I deleted the preference-layout.xml file, but it did not work.

Ok, thank you Peter. Will do it as soon as time permits.



Post-edited: Done. It seems I forgot to delete a second file. Gabor solved it in a very few minutes.
