I don't know how long it can be watched, maybe for 1-2 days.

Glad you liked it, Barbara and Christophe Jan 14, 2019

@Christophe
I read about the time limit in an article, where I read about this short film.
Maybe other sites copied it.

Love it! Jan 14, 2019

Wow, I respect interpreters…
I was searching for another classic by a colleague called Edwal. He's still there, but I can't find the story...

Thanks for the laugh! And shudder. I never interpret, ever, even for one of my very best clients.

Respect for them!

“comedy, but ... treacherous terrain... could easily be interpreted as sexual harassment.”

Simultaneous interpreters ... multitasking ... or multi-interpreting ? Jan 14, 2019

Thanks Katalin for sharing this video with "crazy end".
Somehow, face-to-face Consecutive Interpreting seems safer...
Even if, as an Interpreter, sometimes you have to translate 'kindly' and 'softly' a rude comment or word.

Yes, I was thinking the same when I was watching it.
If the same happened to somebody, he/she could feel embarrassed and uncomfortable.

(spoiler) At the same time since this is a conference with many people, the listening person might have felt uncomfortable but she/he had the chance to report it to a conference staff or just turn around and look up very furiously at the interpreters' booth sector. But then there wouldn't be a story.

Just how long does it take to get this habit away?

So it's easier for people to use the same word for both professions.
I don't know whether this can be changed in people's mind ...
