To the unidentified person who sent this message: The one and only job I did for your agency was more than two years ago. If you have no intention to offer me more work, I would prefer that you remove me from your mailing list immediately. Occupying space in a database and never receiving an offer of work is not my idea of "collaboration." Kind regards, Robert A. Forstag, MA ATA-Certified, Spanish-to-English State-Certified Court In... Just as in Frank Sinatra's Christmas song Mistletoe and Holly: Overeating, merry greetings From relatives you don't know

... they say they wouldn't have a business without you, yet you've never worked for them. Me, I'd be tempted to reply to them and say, But you do have a business without me. Or you could turn it into an odd kind of marketing opportunity, and add: If you want to have a business with me, here are my rates and conditions and specialist areas.

On the other hand, it could be an elaborate trick to get people to send their CVs. They know that the Dear-translator-we're-expanding-our-database-send-us-your-CV-and-rates format is a dead duck, so they've come up with something more innovative. | | | Ask for a gift | Dec 18, 2017 |

I would have answered that last year they have accompanied their best wishes with a voucher for Amazon and why they didn´t this year ... perhaps it works and they´ll send one ("Sorry, we forgot!")
