Imported Mac glossary content into SDL Trados Mar 9, 2017

Thanks for this thread!

I used it today to import Mac glossaries into my SDL Trados platform on Windows.

Here are the steps I followed:

1. Download the glossary in your language here:
https://developer.apple.com/download/more/?=glossaries
(Note: the keyword to use is "glossaries")

To download and install TransMac : http://www.acutesystems.com/scrtm.htm

3. Import the LG files into the freeware Apsic Xbench (choose Mac OS X Glossary), then export all entries as a TMX file.
To download and install Apsic Xbench: https://www.xbench.net/index.php/download

4. Import the TMX file into an SDL Trados translation memory.

Thanks again

a simpler way to open DGM files is ... Sep 29, 2017

7-zip that is a freeware
and is also useful to zip and unzip files BTW, if you don't like the MS Windows zipper

then you don't need converting lg files in TMs if you have Archivarius 3000 as you can simply find translations putting them in its search field
