It is a three (3) hour course, passing on to new translators ideas on the profession, how to get started, and giving and insight into the obstacles which face new translators, among other topics.

The training is provided on a one-to-one basis, using Skype, MSN or a standard telephone. Dates and times are agreed between the lecturer and the student.

| Flavia Martins dos Santos | | Bio: Flávia Tafner Martins dos Santos has been working as a translator and English teacher for over 20 years. Having lived in US as an exchange student for a year, Flávia returned to Brazil and studied Linguistics at University of Campinas.
She has taken part in various International and National Congresses and been published at the international magazine, Small World Language Services. As an active ProZ.com member since 2006, Flávia has contributed to the site's Article Knowledge Base with two publications on teaching and the translation profession.
Along the years, she has been working as a freelancer in different segments for leading Brazilian companies.
At the moment, she is taking a Pos Graduation course in Translation to enhance her skills.
