Mixed use (reduced rate) VAT Explanation: I agree with Charles D's analysis, a mixed rate clocking up both 'qualifying and non-qualifying' use. I hasten to add that my UK revenue law finals syllabus -many moons ago - included 'VAT in outline only'. BTW, I do not have a ProZ preference filter for business - rather tax/law/accountancy - questions, so never saw this one. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs (2015-11-26 11:02:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-notice-70119-... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 23 hrs (2015-11-26 16:10:05 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- including a wee dram.... VAT on mixed supplies Explanation: We have some explanation here of the term: "Para las compras destinadas en parte a ventas afectas y en parte a ventas exentas, se indica acá por que la proporción de afecta/exenta se hace al finalizar el periodo tributario" http://www.iconstruye.com/pdf/manuales/Comprador/manual_carg... Source: http://www.taxadvisermagazine.com/article/mix "HMRC and the VAT profession thought (perhaps somewhat optimistically) that the issue of VAT on mixed supplies had been fully resolved in 1999 when the European Court of Justice (ECJ) gave its landmark ruling in the case of Card Protection Plan Ltd (CPP) (case C-349/96). " You can also refer to this as: Mixed supplies } if the subject of the text Composite supplies } is already dealing with VAT Mixed supply VAT VAT on Composite supplies -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days18 hrs (2015-11-29 10:40:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Given your link, mixed-rate VAT sounds the most suitable term, as mixed supply VAT and composite VAT have very precise definitions! |
