Hi, I am trying to translate a primary school report card from Brazil and I am stuck at the term "Parecer Descriptivo" mentioned as one of the Subjects (DISCIPLINAS).

Can anyone help me understand what this is all about and suggest an appropriate term in English?

I ain't completely sure of it, but I think "Descriptive opinion" is a good translation. I believe it's like a report that a teachers write about the development of the students, and it seems that the term is widely used in this context.

Doing a search in google scholar I was able to find some documents that uses it (you can check the introduction of the texts in portuguese and it's translation into english in the abstract):

ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL DE 9 ANOS Aspectos Legais 7-Parecer CEED 752/05 ( de 26 de outubro de 2005) - O 1º ano do EF de 9 anos deverá ser desenvolvido como processo de aprendizagem de forma lúdica, respeitando a faixa etária das crianças.
