پایداری نعمت
از بین رفتن کینه‌ها از پیامدهای بسیار گران‌قیمت گشاده‌رویی و خوش‌رویی میان انسان‌هاست. کینه‌هایی که قطره قطره وارد دل انسان‌ها شده و آن را به مرور زمان تبدیل به دریای پرخروش خشم و نفرت می‌کند. پیامبر اکرم (صلی الله علیه و آله) خوش‌رویی را راه درمان کینه‌ها می‌دانند - اصول کافی، ج 2، ص 104
آن حضرت بر این باور اند که رفتار مناسب با انسانها از جمله خوشرویی عاملی در جلب دلها و پایداری نعمت رأفت و عطوفت میان آنان است، چنانکه حضرت میفرماید: دلهاى مردان رمنده است، هر كه آن را به خود خو داد، روى بدو نهاد.
قُلُوبُ الرِّجَالِ وَحْشِیَّةٌ فَمَنْ تَأَلَّفَهَا أَقْبَلَتْ عَلَیْهِ - نهج البلاغه، قصار، 47
امام علی (علیه السلام) نیز بهترین وسیله‌ای که مردم با آن دل‌های دوستان خود را به دست می‌آورند و کینه‌ها را از دل‌های دشمنان می‌زدایند؛ خوش‌رویی هنگام مواجهه با آنان، پرسش از حال آنان در غیاب و گشاده‌رویی در حضور آن‌ها را برمی‌شمارند.
