Обыскалась, не могу найти русского термина для этого понятия.

Нашла много пояснений на английском:

Closed blocks (or books) are defined as policies that are no longer sold actively, but are accounted on the financial statements of a life carrier as premium-paying policies. The long-term run of life insurance makes it hard for insurers to see the immediate need for a long-term closed block strategy. A strategy of handling closed blocks internally to contain costs and manage the run-off makes sense for closed blocks that reside on the same policy administration systems to the open blocks. However, as insurers upgrade their policy administrations systems, implement digital strategies, and look to rationalize systems, the cost administering a diminishing closed block increases as does the risk of technology obsolescence.

Each time an insurer opts to close a block of business it is faced with management and administrative challenges.

В русском яз. нет специального термина для таких полисов, можно перевести только описательно.

Эти полисы нельзя называть "неактивными", они активно работают, но их обработка затруднена, потому что их оформление производилось "древними" способами, и сейчас их обслуживание (администрирование) стоит дороже чем оформленных позднее по новым технологиям.
В русском языке для них термина нет.

Asker: Спасибо за ответ. Я пока назвала такие полисы неактивными, но, возможно, изменю. У меня там ограничение по знакам, что усугубляет ситуацию). Я тут еще подумала, что это понятие, возможно, применяется вообще в бизнесе, а те только в страховании. Может, их так и назвать "закрытыми блоками", появится термин. Те, кто в курсе, тоже, наверно, поймут кальку.

Asker: Да я уже поняла, что "неактивные" не только введут читателя в заблуждение, но и в какой-то мере имеют противоположное нужному значение. Попробую что-нибудь с "устаревшим". Спасибо Вам за ответ.
