Alignment of flaps in the initial adjustment
In the case of large, accessible rotors this can be carried out from inside the rotor after removing a few of the blades. For smaller, non-accessible rotors the flaps should be aligned before installing the rotor.
The alignment is accomplished with the help of a simple gauge made of steel plate (see assembly "Auxiliaries: Flap Positioning cpl."). The previously installed flaps are turned so that they contact the gauge, as shown in the drawing. To retain each upper flap axle the bottom nut is tightened until the flap is pulled firmly against the frame (or classifier upper housing). When this nut can no longer be tightened, the counter nut can be locked against it.
