I am an efficient and versatile translator based in the South-West of England. I have repeatedly had short-term in-house contracts at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, and am an external collaborator in translation for the ILO and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Geneva. Many of the texts translated for these organizations have been of a precise legal or scientific nature. My translations have received favourable feedback from end users regarding their accuracy and usability on numerous occasions.
I am also a frequent external collaborator for the London-based Christian development charity Tearfund, which work has made me familiar with the subjects, vocabular and style used by development organizations today. There, too, my work has received positive feedback from users. I am also a regular external collaborator with the Lutheran World Federation for a magazine that they publish. Deadlines are therefore often extremely tight, but, here too, I have received uniformly positive feedback on the punctuality and quality of my work.
The areas in which I have the greatest experience are therefore international institutions and development, but I am versatile and also able to translate other, more technical styles. |
