Nov 21, 2007 Hi, I was just trying to clean up my word document, when the process stopped and an error message dispalyed: "Can't process RTF format". But it's a word file, so what's happening? TIA! Perhaps not the correct format Nov 21, 2007 Eventhough a file has the RTF extension, it might actually be a .doc file (and vice versa). Check it by opening the file in Word and pressing F12 (Save as) and see what format Word is showing be default. This is the actual format of the file. What eventually DID help was saving it under word 97-2003/RTF (!!!). Then, the cleaning worked just fine. However, a little tip for such problems: Use the Trados Knowledge Base at http://www.sdl.com/en/services/support/search.asp Insert the error number or error message to search for known problems. Sometimes, you draw blanks, though. But in this case, if you insert "Can't process RTF format" in the I'm looking for the keywords field, you get three articles, of which No. 3 is the one you're looking for: http://www.sdl.com/en/services/support/view.asp?cntID=1591 Jørgen      Subject: Comment: The contents of this post will automatically be included in the ticket generated.
